Heating Jacket

The Heating Jacket is an accessory designed to compliment your process pump in applications where operators have the requirements to maintain specific temperatures of the product being pumped. This caters to both hot and cold applications handling chocolate, starches, syrups, waxes, oils, margarine, butters and paraffin. By covering the pump’s wetted components, the Heating Jacket integrates seamlessly, ensuring optimal temperature control. This is essential for use with products that will solidify at lower temperatures, or for those liquids that must be kept at a constant temperature.

Overview

The jacket is welded to the pump covering all wetted parts and the heating medium is circulated within the Heating Jacket in order to maintain the temperature of the pump. This is essential for use with products that will solidify at lower temperatures, or for those liquids that must be kept at a constant temperature.

A Heating Jacket can be used to melt a product that has solidified within a pump before the pump begins operating again, which will protect the pump and its mechanical seals from damage.

The choice of pump to be fitted with a Heating Jacket is decided by budget, flow rate, the pressure required for the chosen application and the installation the pump will be fitted to, as well as whether an electrically driven or air driven pump is required by the customer.
