Biogas Hopper Pump
Biogas Hopper Pump

Biogas Hopper Pump

Our Biogas Hopper Pump, part of our Industrial Progressive Cavity Pump range, is specifically designed for the demanding requirements of the Biogas industry. Featuring robust construction and advanced technology, these pumps excel in efficiently pumping viscous and non-flowing substances with a high solids content, with the hydraulic components offering excellent self-priming capabilities up to 7m, making them ideal for various applications in sewage treatment, industrial processes, agriculture and more. Additionally, these pumps are ATEX-available for use in hazardous environments.

Typical applications for our Biogas Hopper Pump:

  • Sewage Sludge
  • Water Treatment
  • Industrial Sludge
  • Detergents & Chemicals
  • Papermaking Products
  • Agriculture
  • Petrochemical By-Products
  • Maritime
Overview

We have 2 models available for this pump, the DHS-T and JHS-T, each offering the following benefits:

DHS – T:

  • Direct drive coupling via flange
  • Cost-effective and compact design
  • Reduced installation costs and simplified maintenance
  • Durability tested under heavy loads

JHS-T:

  • Drive connected to the shaft inlet via a coupling joint
  • Superior performance and durability
  • Bearings absorb stress in the housing, ensuring high resistance against loads
  • Modular bearing housing design for flexibility in installation
Features & Benefits
  • Compliance: CE-compliant and ATEX-rated for use in hazardous environments
  • Self-Priming: The hydraulic parts of these Hopper Pumps enable excellent self-priming (up to 7m)
  • Patented Pin Joint: The pin-type joint, a core component, offers enhanced durability and reduced maintenance costs. Its unique design allows for the subdivision of axial loads and torque
  • Solids Handling: These pumps ensure efficient pumping of highly viscous and non-flowing substances, including those with high solids content
  • Drives: Optimal drive configurations (flange or coupling joint)
  • Materials: Casing, sealing shaft, rotor, and stator components are available in a variety of materials, including Stainless Steel AISI 316L, 304, Duplex and Super Duplex, ensuring compatibility with a range of different substances
  • Low Pulsating Flows: Tensional stress and pulsating flows are minimised, reducing the centrifugal effect. Low operating speed and axial development contribute to stable performance
  • Shaft Sealing: Various sealing systems, including mechanical seals, single and double cartridge seals, and gland packing seals, cater to specific usage and application conditions
  • Modularity: These pumps offer modularity in hydraulic parts, casing, seals, base plates, housing, and drive shafts. Each component can be customised without altering the unit’s structure, allowing for adaptability to various applications
  • Maintenance: These pumps are designed for simple maintenance, requiring minimal component replacement. Joint bushes allow for the replacement of worn parts without changing shafts and rotors
